Amtrak Focus Group Research

C R Market Surveys successfully recruited current and former Amtrak riders for a series of focus group discussions aimed at gathering insights on customer experiences. The participants represented a diverse range of language backgrounds, including Spanish, Polish, and Mandarin speakers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the perspectives from non-English-speaking riders. 


Key responsibilities included: 

  1. Recruitment: We recruited participants through targeted outreach strategies to ensure diversity in language, demographics, and travel experiences.  We also managed all aspects of participant scheduling and follow-up communication to ensure high attendance and engagement. 

  2. Focus Group Research: Focus groups were conducted with multi-lingual moderators fluent in Spanish, Polish, and Mandarin to facilitate the discussions with a broader reach of participants.


This research helped Amtrak better understand the needs and preferences of its diverse rider base, informing future service improvements.
